‘FACT’ group receives grant from Peabody Foundation

Families and Communities Together, Inc. (FACT) is pleased to announce that we have received a $1,000 grant from the Peabody Community Foundation affiliate of the Central, Kansas Community Foundation. This award allows FACT to contribute toward payments for basic necessities of heat, light, water, shelter and transportation for low-income families in the USD 398 District.

These funds will have a positive impact not only on those households who receive financial assistance but also on the community as a whole.

When children live in homes with consistent supplies of food and needed services, they are more successful in school.

When parents have access to needed resources, they are more likely to put down roots and contribute economically and communally.

The Peabody Community Foundation (PCF), an affiliate of Central Kansas Community Foundation (CKCF), was established in 2000 to assist in providing resources for a broad range of existing and future charitable needs in the Peabody area.

The FACT Executive Board and Staff would like to express our appreciation to the Peabody Community Foundation for their contribution to our organization.

We would also very much like to thank the farsighted individuals who established the foundation, the current directors and those who contribute financially to a fund that benefits the citizens of the Peabody are today and into the future.
