Duane McCarty (far left) and Jessey Hiebert (far right), representing the Marion County Peace Officers Association, accept a check for $1,500 from Sandy Holub and Ruth Faulk, representing Golden Living Center of Marion, on Monday, Aug. 24. The contribution was made by Golden Living Center USA, the parent company of Golden Living Center of Marion. The grant is the largest contribution to date in the MCPOA 2007-08 fund drive. In large part due to additional contributions from 25 local businesses, the fund drive so far has raised $4,300 that will be used by the MCPOA to support charitable causes and to purchase training equipment for local law enforcement. The drive is ongoing. Anyone interested in contributing to the fund drive should contact a local law enforcement agency for additional information.
