Chingawassa Days organizers have lined up two more acts for its concert card June 6 and 7.
Revelation: A Tribute to Journey band is scheduled to appear on Friday night?s main stage and Lexi Larsen will be the opening act for Saturday?s main stage prior to the featured concert by Love and Theft.
Revelation is comprised of five musicians. Accord?ing to organizers, the band played in the bar scene for a few years until lead singer, Carl Worden, broke off and started a tribute to one of his favorite bands, Journey.
Worden has a vocal talent that is parallel to Steve Perry?s voice, Journey?s lead singer, according to organizers. Other band members are Colin Hinkley on drums, Nate Holt providing the sounds on keyboards and vocals, Terry Gann on bass and David Williams on lead guitar.
Larsen, meanwhile, is from Nebraska. Organizers describer her as ?a small-town girl with a soulful sound.?
Larsen writes her own songs. Now based out of Nashville, she has released her first album, Good Memories. Her new single ?You Can Leave? is climbing up the country radio charts. It was released in January.
Other songs on the album include ?He?s on a John Deere? and ?Something About Sunday.?
Larsen has had the opportunity to open for music legend Ronnie Milsap, Phil Vassar and the country trio Gloriana. She?s also been seen singing the national anthem at the 2013 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas, NV.
The Chingawassa Days committee said it will have at least one more band to announce coming in the following week.
