Centre FFAers recognized for leadership

Two Centre FFA members Kevin Lewis and Karl Riffel were elected April 22 to the South Central District FFA officer team.

Lewis was elected treasurer and Riffel as office of sentinel, according to Laura Klenda, FFA adviser.

Seven members were recognized for completing requirements for the state FFA degree: Justin Deines, Kyle Methvin, Chad Mueller, Tom Oborny, Tanner Peterson, Karl Riffel and Ty Simons. They will receive the degree at the state convention May 31.

Tom Oborny was recognized as a district proficiency award winner in the area of agriculture mechanics design and fabrication. ?His application placed second at the state level,? Klenda said.

Chad Mueller was recognized in the area of dairy production entrepreneurship.
