Centre FFA fifth at speech contest

Centre High School students took fifth overall in the South Central District FFA Speech Contest held Saturday, Dec. 5, at South Barber High School in Kiowa.

Theo Kassebaum placed third in the senior division with her speech ?Genetically Modified Organisms.?

In the sophomore division, Shane Methvin took fourth, covering the topic of ?Ranching and Wildlife Conservation? in his speech and Carrie Carlson placed eighth in the freshmen division for her speech, ?Food Safety from Pesticides.?
