Leann Pankratz smiles bravely before donating blood at the Centre FFA fall blood drive Thursday, Oct. 2, at Centre High School. Thirty pints of blood were collected with seven deferrals. The American Red Cross contacted the chapter to host a fall blood drive because of the shortage in the blood banks, a spokesperson said. The chapter would like to thank everyone who helped during the day and especially the individuals who donated blood. The chapter will host its annual spring blood drive April 17, 2009.
