More than 75 people attended a donation carnival April 6 sponsored by the Marion Parks and Recreation Commission and Circles of Marion County. The event raised almost $600, according to Pam Byer, one of the coordinators. The carnival offered games, prizes and refreshments for children age 10 and under. Mark Rodgers, director, even joined in the fun. Circles of Marion County is designed to help low-income families and middle-income volunteers to better understand themselves, their community and to build relationships of support.
