This aerial photo of the city of Hillsboro?s sewer lagoon ponds gives a birds-eye view of the finished product. The system was completed earlier this summer and is functioning as predicted, according to City Administrator Larry Paine. For perspective, the roadway running diagonally in the upper left corner of the photo is U.S. Highway 56. The roadway which spans the photo from left to right is Kanza Road. The ponds are located about a quarter mile east of the Hillsboro Industrial Park.
