Kendall Wiebe (14th, 20:32), Sheldon Wiebe (15th, 20:41), Josh Klarman
(18th, 20:57) and Seth Methvin (30th, 22:25).

MHS succumbs to arm of Bronco quarterback

Marion saw its post-season chances end Friday with a 36-12 loss at Remington in the second round of district play.

The Warriors shredded the Bronco defense for 243 rushing yards, but were unable to slow Remington?s passing attack.

The Warriors claimed their second straight boys? title at the Heart of America league meet at Hutchinson on Saturday.

Aaron Topham led the Warriors with a personal-record time for 5 kilometers of 18 minutes, 16 seconds. Topham placed second to Josiah Busenitz of Berean.

The Warriors won the lower division of the Heart of America league tournament on Saturday.

PBHS jumped to a 13-8 lead against Bennington, but dropped the first game 20-25. The Warriors claimed the next two games (25-22, 25-14) to win their opening match.

Delay. Determination. Drama.

The district football opener between Hillsboro and Marion had a lot to ?D-light? high school football fans Friday night.

In the end, though, it was Hillsboro fans who experienced deliverance and Marion fans who suffered disappointment in a 20-19 overtime decision at Warrior Stadium.
