Highly touted Hoisington spoiled Marion High?s homecoming, 35-14, on Friday.

The Cardinals scored before either team ran an offensive play when Adam Sullivan returned the opening kickoff 87 yards. Adam Demel nailed the first of five extra point kicks for a 7-0 lead.

The Marion football team shut out Haven 19-0 Friday night for its third win of the season.

Key starters Brad Klenda and Austin Hager were not in uniform, but the Warriors (3-1) were able to take control of the scoreboard on first-half touchdown runs by Sheldon Boone and Mitchell Leppke.
