The Marion football team shut out Haven 19-0 Friday night for its third win of the season.

Key starters Brad Klenda and Austin Hager were not in uniform, but the Warriors (3-1) were able to take control of the scoreboard on first-half touchdown runs by Sheldon Boone and Mitchell Leppke.

The Marion girls? cross country team beat Andover Central, Council Grove and Goessel to win its home meet last Thursday at Marion County Lake.

Camille Christensen led the Warriors with a fifth-place time of 16 minutes, 52 seconds.

pool play, Peabody-Burns defeated Marais des Cygnes Valley 22-25,
25-23, 25-16, lost to Central Christian 11-25, 16-25, then defeated
Northern Heights, 25-21, 16-25, 25-15.

The Hillsboro volleyball team battled back from the brink of defeat against Nickerson, then pounded Lyons to sweep both ends of their home triangular Tuesday, Sept. 11

The two wins gave the Trojans a 10-2 record for the season and an early lead in league play at 2-0.
