The 2018 Wheat State All League Volleyball Team athletes have been announced. Several Marion County residents made the elite list. Former Goessel student leads college team

Erin Brubaker of Goessel is a current student and Varsity volleyball player at Eastern Mennonite University, located in Harrisonburg, Va. On Thursday, Oct. 18, she set a season high with 11 kills in a 3-0 non-conference sweep of Mary Baldwin University. Brubaker had 11 kills with no errors on 18 attacks for a .611 kill percentage.

On Saturday, Sept. 22, the Centre FFA Chapter hosted the James Weber Memorial Fishing Derby at Fr. Padilla Park in Herington. 9 fishermen participated in the derby which ran from 9:30 -11:30am.
