Tabor men open KCAC play with wins against Bethel

With the tennis season two weeks from its end, the Tabor College men defeated rival Bethel on Thursday, 5-4.

It was the team?s fourth consecutive victory and the first of its conference schedule.

Allen hands TC women?s basketball team over to Winter

On the heels of a 26-6 season that saw the Bluejays advance to the second round of the national tournament for the third straight season, head coach Rusty Allen is handing the program over to Shawn Winter.<p><p>Allen?s decision came seven days after Tabor announced that Don Brubacher would step down as head coach of the men?s team.<p><p>So Allen wanted to make it clear that his reasons for resigning his coaching position are purely personal and unrelated to other recent coaching changes.

Tabor men on track for a strong run in 2007

With the graduation of standout middle-distance runners Brian Lightner and Caleb Stanton, the Tabor College men?s track-and-field team will lean on a young group as it tries to gain ground on KCAC perennial power Southwestern.

At last year?s conference meet, the Bluejays scored 141 points and finished second. Their point total was the highest since the 1973 Bluejays scored 153 points and won the school?s only championship.

Tabor women set for a run at KCAC crown

Last season, the Tabor College women’s track and field team scored 103.5 points and finished third at the KCAC meet at Bethany College.

Last season, the men’s squad scored 141 points and finished second in the conference.
