The Hillsboro Senior Center extends a hearty welcome to new manager Karly Winter.

An Easter dinner will be held at noon April 4, followed by an Easter meditation by Dave Plett. Sign-up is requested.

The Kansas Rural Water Association has awarded its 2006 Water Treatment Plant Supervisor of the Year Award to Morgan Marler, who oversees water production for the city of Hillsboro.

The presentation was made at the awards ceremony on Wednesday, March 28, during the Association?s 40th Anniversary Conference and Exhibition, held at the Century II Convention Center in Wichita.
