Local lakes off blue-green algae alert (July 15)

Neither Marion Reservoir nor Marion County Lake were included on KDHE’s latest blue-green algae alert list as of Friday, July 15. The Kansas Department of Health and Environment samples publicly accessible bodies of water for blue-green algae when the agency receives reports of potential algae blooms in Kansas lakes. Based on sampling results, KDHE reports on potentially harmful conditions.
