Tabor-Wichita, Seward sign transfer agreement

Tabor College?s School of Adult & Graduate Studies in Wichita has entered into an agreement with Seward County Community College/Area Technical School to provide a seamless transition for current and former SCCC students wanting to transfer credits and undergraduate requirements to Tabor.

The agreement was signed Nov. 10 by the presidents of both schools and is effective immediately.

The agreement will apply to students pursing the following degrees: bachelor of science in business administration, bachelor of science in Christian ministry and an RN to bachelor of science in nursing degree.

Up to 70 credit hours from SCCC will be transferable to the bachelor degrees at Tabor.

This agreement was reached to benefit students wanting to build on the education already received from SCCC, according to school officials.

?Crediting courses completed at Seward County Community College toward bachelor degrees at Tabor will save students time and money,? ?said Brett ?Andrews, executive vice president at TC-Wichita.?

?For current students and alumni, who desire bachelors degrees from a high quality accredited Christian College, we will make it easy for them to start the process toward taking that next step.?

Students interested in the bachelor degree in business administration can choose an emphasis in accounting, entrepreneurship, health-care administration, human resources and operations management.

?Our staff is equipped to help each person with their individual degree plan and work with them regarding their financial aid,? Andrews said.
