Anticipating a record-setting earnings year in 2014, MB Foundation is planning to share the earnings with its Mennonite Brethren denominational family.
Jon C. Wiebe, MBF president and CEO, said, ?Second Corinthians 9:11 says that we are made rich so we can be generous. While none of us would call ourselves rich, we still want to share this blessing with our family.?
The MBF Board of Direc?tors took the following action as a way to share the blessing:
? The annual ?firstfruits? donation to the national MB conference was increased from 10 percent to 11 percent.
? A one-time gift of $17,000 was made to each of the five U.S. districts in December 2014.
? A rebate totaling $200,000 was issued to all MB ministry borrowers of record in 2014.
?It is our hope that all of us can rejoice in God?s provision,? said Lynn Schneider, 2014 board chair. ?We now challenge each ministry that receives a distribution to also prayerfully consider how to use the funds, being generous on every occasion.?
The MB Foundation home office is located at 315 S. Lincoln, Hillsboro.
