Wulf resigns as Chamber and Arts & Crafts Fair director

After a year and seven months as the Hillsboro Chamber of Commerce director, Christy Wulf resigned that postion, effective May 23 unless the board is otherwise notified.

Wulf also resigned as the Arts and Crafts Fair director.

?This change will offer the Chamber and this office the opportunity to reorganize staffing and workload for the office, especially in light of the decrease in funding from Marion County Fair,? Wulf said.

Wulf said she will be looking for jobs in Wichita, where her husband has been commuting for the past three years.

?We feel like, as a family, we?ll have more time together if we?re both working in the same city,? Wulf said.

?That would be a real joy actually.?

Wulf looks at the change in a positive rather than negative light and says she enjoyed her time with the organization.

?When I took the position at the Chamber, I never thought I would want to leave,? she said. ?My work for the Chamber has been a passion of mine and I truly believe that I have made both Hillsboro and the Chamber stronger and better for my efforts.

?I have been honored to serve you all, and wish nothing but the best for the Chamber, its members and Hillsboro.?
