Wichert: ?I?ve always had a desire to own my own business. And for one reason or the other, the timing just seemed right.?

Bryce Wichert, a certified public accountant, has opened a new accounting business in downtown Hillsboro.

Accounting and Financial Initiative LLC is open to the public at 104 E. First St., Suite C.

Through the business, Wichert plans to offer tax planning and preparation, financial services, bookkeeping and payroll services, business consulting and business management services to small businesses, non-profits and individual customers.

?My goal is to serve the small businesses of this community and surrounding area,? Wichert said. ?And provide individualized services for each person.?

Wichert has eight years of public accounting experience and has been a CPA for five years. He said he has always wanted to open his own business, and it currently seems like the right time to open the accounting business.

?I?ve always had a desire to own my own business,? he said. ?And for one reason or the other, the timing just seemed right.

?One of the biggest reasons I wanted to (open a business) was so I could express my own ideas and services in my own way and individualize my services in that respect.?

Wichert?s goal to serve the community in a personable way led him to use the word, initiative, in his business name.

?I like the word initiative,? he said.?I think it describes how I want to serve my customers and how I want my services to be perceived.

?I want to help my customers take initiative in organizing their accounting so from a financial standpoint they can see where they?re at currently and then plan accordingly to reach their goals.?
