Three county businesses contribute to successful 4-H hog raffle

Three county-based businesses were instrumental in this year’s successful hog raffle, a key fundraiser for the Marion County 4-H Development Fund. The raffle hogs were made possible by generous donations from Cooperative Grain & Supply and Countryside Feed, both based in Hillsboro; the slaughter and processing of the hogs was donated by Peabody Sausage House. Pictured from left are Christina Pease, Marilyn Unruh and Mike Berger, representing Peabody Sausage House; Becky Vannocker, representing the 4-H Development Fund; Bill Fish, representing Countryside Feed; and Dick Tippin, representing CG&S. This year’s raffle winners were Amy Plett and Frisbie Construction. Proceeds from the raffle will provide scholarships for 4-H members and support the overall 4-H program in Marion County.
