St Luke to bring in OB, Turner for visits to hospital

McPherson Hospital and St. Luke Hospital in Marion are pleased to announce that Carl Turner, D.O., family medicine physician with OB is now seeing patients in Marion at St. Luke Hospital.

In Marion, Dr. Turner will work with expectant mothers through delivery. Services provided will include prenatal, labor and post-partum care with vaginal deliveries, c-sections and vaginal births after c-section. Turner will see patients in Marion up to the last month of their pregnancy at which time care will be transferred to McPherson Hospital for delivery.

Dr. Turner was born in Shawnee Mission, Kansas and moved to Utah for most of his youth and college years. He graduated from Weber State University in Ogden, Utah, with emphases in Zoology, Spanish and Chemistry. He attended medical school at Des Moines University and completed his Family Medicine training at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas.

Representatives from McPherson Hospital indicate they will soon be upgrading their Women’s Care and Birth center which will include queen-size recovery beds, updated design features with new flooring and window treatments, equipment such as ambulatory fetal monitoring and more.
