Nicholas Meyer receives $3,200 AFA scholarship

Nicholas MeyerNicholas Meyer, a 2014 graduate of Marion High School, receives the $3,200 Marion County AFA Scholarship from Mike Padgett (left), president of Central National Bank, and Jim Enns, president of the Cooperative Grain & Supply board of directors. The annual scholarship is sponsored by CNB, CG&S, Midland Farm Services of Hillsboro and Agriculture Future of America. AFA partners with local businesses to provide scholarships and intern opportunities to students who are actively pursuing careers in an agriculture-related industry. The scholarship has been awarded to a graduating senior from Marion County each year since May 1999. Meyer, son of Mark and Marsha Meyer of Tampa, plans to major in agricultural engineering at Kansas State University this fall.
