Marion St. Luke Hospital ranked in top 20 CAHs

St. Luke Hospital in Marion was recently named one of the Top 20 Critical Access Hospitals for Quality Index.

Quality Index is a rating of performance based on the percentile rank across the five categories of care measures in the country.

As of 2018, there are 1,346 CAHs throughout the United States in which St. Luke Hospital is compared.

The Top 20, including St. Luke, scored best among critical access hospitals as determined by the Chartis Center for Rural Health for Quality.

The rankings recently were announced by the National Rural Health Association. An awards ceremony is planned for September in Kansas City, Mo.

“This recognition takes everyone on the team performing at a high level,” said Jeremy Ensey, St. Luke CEO. “To be in the Top 20 of over 1,300 Critical Access Hospitals is something all of our employees can take pride in.

“Being a top quality performer is an indicator to our patients and community about the effort we put forth to deliver the best care possible right here in Marion.”
