Library, garden benefit from Florence Community Foundation grants

The Florence Community Foundation awarded a $1,000 grant to the Florence City Library last week to fix the roof and windows. Board member Fred Bichet is not pictured. In addition to awarding funds to the library, the FCF presented $200 to the city of Florence for the Florence Fred Harvey Community Garden. FCF was started Jan. 26, 2011, through the Central Kansas Community Foundation, which is based in Newton.
