Teresa Huffman, Marion County economic development director, was one of 10 people to receive a ?We Kan!? award from the Kansas Sampler Foundation.
The awards were presented during the Kansas Sampler Festival, May 7-8 in Leaven?worth, to people who have helped ?preserve and sustain rural culture? through their work at the grassroots level, according to the foundation.
Huffman was cited as being a ?positive force for rural communities.?
