Hillsboro Mayor Delores Dalke received the Kansas Association of Realtors Distinguished Service Award earlier this mont at the annual state Realtor convention in Topeka.
Dalke, owner of the Real Estate Center in Hillsboro, was awarded the association?s top honor. She is a past president of KAR and was named KAR Realtor of the Year in 2005.
?Delores is incredibly deserving of this prestigious award,? said Jamie Holt, 20011 KAR president. ?She is a leader within the association, and Realtors across the state respect her.?
Locally, Dalke was a founding member of the Marion County Board of Realtors and assisted with enlarging that board to become Flint Hills Board of Realtors. She has was president of the local board.
Nationally, Dalke has served on the Political Communica?tions Committee, State and Local Fiscal Affairs Commit?tee, Conventional Finance and Lending Committee, Land Use and Property Rights committee and the Housing Needs Committee of the National Association of Realtors.
?Delores has done more for the state association than almost anyone I can think of,? Holt said. ?She continues to lead by example and is a terrific role model for the presidents who are following in her footsteps.?
