Hillsboro pharmacy cuts the ribbon on new facility and new name

Assisted by his coworkers and backed up by a significant contingent of community supporters, owner Eric Driggers cuts the ceremonial ribbon marking the opening of the newly named and located Hillsboro Hometown Pharmacy Monday morning, Feb. 27. The 3,500-square foot building at the corner of Ash Street and Orchard Drive will mark a new beginning and new home for the business known for decades as Greenhaw Pharmacy. The new building features drive-through prescription service, a significantly larger retail area and a consulting room that provide privacy for conversation and immunizations. In a Free Press article about the project in 2015, Driggers addressed his motivation: “I just feel that Hillsboro is my hometown. I have lived in this community for my entire life. We want to be able to continue serving this community as long as we are able. This new facility will allow us to have a higher service level than our current location allows.”
