Hillsboro Community Hospital will host a meeting for volunteers at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30, in Room 14.
Guest speaker will be Michael Ryan, chief executive officer, who will update members on the status of the new hospital.
Hospital volunteers experience many intangible benefits including increased confidence, making new friends, and improved health, according to HCH communications coordinator Marsh Setzkorn-Meyer.
?There is evidence that volunteering can improve your health,? she added.
Setzkorn-Meyer said many volunteers are surprised how enjoyable it is to help others.
?Not every volunteer experience is the same,? she said. ?Yet, your chances of having fun increase when you volunteer in an environment that interests you.?
New volunteers are welcome to the meeting. Refreshments will be served.
