Grant will go toward Tampa Main Street

An economic development grant of $25,000 was awarded recently to Tampa State Bank to help Tampa Main Street.
The grantor FHL Bank, is wholesale financial institution, which Tampa State Bank is a member, awarded the grant through its Joint Opportunities for Building Success program.
?JOBS helps financial institutions throughout Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska and Oklahoma promote jobs and economic growth in their communities,? a source said.
The money from the grant, Lundy said, will provide funding for renovation of an empty, anchor Main Street building in Tampa.

The building will be used for retail, business meetings and other community needs.
Tampa State Bank, Lundy said, will present a check at 6 p.m. Aug. 23 to owner David Mueller during the bank?s hog roast.
