Chamber hosts ribbon-cutting for Grannie?s Mustard new location

Ribbon CuttingSurrounded by family, friends and Hillsboro Chamber of Commerce members, Lydia ?Grannie? Hein cuts the ribbon Friday at the new production home for Grannie?s Mustard, located at 301 N. Birch in Hills?boro. Hein and her late husband, Emice, began the business on the family farm north of Hillsboro in 1990. Son Eugene took over in 2010, assisted by wife Rita. The company has grown to produce eight flavors of mustard. Varieties are sold in nearly 50 stores, most located in Kansas. People attending Friday?s ribbon-cutting were invited to enjoy a free sausage sandwich with plenty of Grannie?s Mustard.
