Carbon credits meeting set for Monday, Feb. 11

Kansas Farm Bureau will host an informational meeting for area producers at 10 a.m. Mnday, Feb. 11, in the Marion City Building basement.

Steve Swaffar, director of natural resources with KFB, will provide information on how farmers and ranchers can earn income from no-till/strip-till crop production, new grass plantings and rangeland management.

Swaffar will introduce a new and innovative method for farmers and landowners to take advantage of carbon credits.

The meeting is open to any farm operator or landowner interested in learning more about this new market

Marion County Farm Bureau and the Marion Reservoir WRAPS will host the meeting. The meeting is co-sponsored by the Flint Hills RC&D Council.
