Gordon and Jeanie Reiswig and their son, Nick, 13, test drove a 2009 Ford Flex during the ?Drive For Your School? event Saturday. The Flex, a seven-passenger alternative to minivans and SUVs, was a popular car at the open house.

Hillsboro Ford and Ford Motor Co. donated $20 from each test drive to the Hillsboro High School Booster Club. Rod Hamm, club president, said more than 150 applications were returned for test drives, for about $3,000 in donations. Hamm, shown at right talking with Hank Wiebe (right), said HHS coaches have made lists of their program wants, but the money has not been earmarked for anything specific. In addition to the fundraising event, Hillsboro Ford also offered free hot dogs, popcorn, drinks and prize giveaways. Terry Hagen, co-owner of Hillsboro Ford, said he was pleased with Saturday?s turnout.BoosterClubRod185.jpg
