HCMC offering early blood draws, testing

Hillsboro Community Medical Center announced Friday that it is availabe for outpatient blood draws and testing from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Appointments are not required, but a signed physician?s order stating the test, or tests, and the diagnosis are needed. Orders can be faxed by the physician?s office directly to the lab, or may be carried in by the patient.

?The early opening is ideal for blood tests requiring fasting, or those who need lab tests before going to work,? said Dwight Johnson, laboratory manager. ?Most tests can be drawn, completed and the results faxed to the doctor within two hours.?

Marion National earns 5-star superior rating

Marion National Bank has earned a 5-Star superior rating from BauerFinancial Inc., an independent bank rating and research firm in Coral Gables, Fla.

The rating is based on the overall financial picture of the bank and indicates it is among the strongest banks in the nation.
