Big turnout for Little Pleasure’s final ‘Pie Night’

LPpieservers0004Kathryn Glanzer and Derek Hamm serve pie at the final Pie Night event Thursday. Hamm said between 150-200 people attended the event to give well-wishes to Little Pleasures Coffeehouse owner Marisa Javier, who is closing her doors Friday after 13 years of business. Little Pleasures began hosting Pie Night once a week in October 2013, and changed the event to once a month about a year later. They served 14 pies at the final pie night. Javier expressed this message to the community: “Thank you for allowing me to serve you. It was a privilege.” Javier said she is working on a cookbook containing Little Pleasures recipes. Javier (white jacket) visits with Peg Glanzer.
