Engler sets new record for book sales during Kansas State Fair

Marion County author Jerry Engler set a new record for the third time at the 2009 Kansas State Fair for the most books sold and signed by a single author for Book Kansas.

His new record is 144 books. His previous records were 141 books in 2008 and 101 books in 2005.

Engler has three books published: ?Just Folks: Earthy Tales of the Prairie Heartland,? ?A Heartland Voice,? and ?Highly Embellished Truth & Some Poetry.?

Engler covers farm issues and county government for the Free Press, and also publishes a personal column every other month.
