Auto House receives public service award

The Salina Fire Department and Chief Larry Mullikin presented Auto Housing Towing the Fire Chief?s Award for Community Service on Nov. 10.

The award is presented to individuals or businesses that provide a service to the fire department or community public safety.

To assist the fire department, Auto House Towing has provided the vehicles needed for training and public demonstration.

These occasions have included four recruit classes, one hydraulic tool evaluation, two Kansas Highway Patrol accident reconstruction classes, two collapse rescue classes, two DUI (driving under the influence) consequence drills for local schools and periodic training with RS-1 and RS-4 crews.

To date, Auto House Towing has provided 29 vehicles to the Salina Fire Department.

?This award stems from a joint effort from our Marion County and Galva locations, also,? said Sharon Unruh, a spokesperson for Auto House.
