Farm bill meetings next week

The Marion County Farm Service Agency, together with the Marion County Extension Service, are sponsoring a series of public educational meetings for farmers and the agricultural public to review and explain provisions of the Food, Conserva?tion & Energy Act of 2008 ?more commonly known as the 2008 Farm Bill.

Three sessions are scheduled across the county as follows: 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20, at the Lincolnville Community Building; 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 22, at the Marion City Building, 208 E Santa Fe; 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, at Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church, 300 Prairie Pointe.

All interested persons are invited to attend the session of their choice and learn of the new choices and options being offered to help them prepare for their farm program enrollment.

Emprise Bank of Hillsboro will be provisding refreshments at these meetings.
