The Livewires-Empire Best 4-H Club held its monthly meeting at the McPherson County fairgrounds in Canton April 15.
The meeting was called to order by President Cash Toews. The Flag Salute and 4-H Pledge were then given. Roll Call was answered to “What is your favorite flower?” Thirteen members and leaders and six parents and guests were present at the meeting. Next was the officer’s report, and the treasurer report was given Sage Toews.
Development Fund donations that members have collected were given to the leaders. Club scholarships were discussed for the upcoming: exchange trips, camp, discovery days.
It was voted to give each member the scholarship if they work the concession stand at the fair. The 2018 4-H fair book cover design deadline is April 20 for any member who wants to submit a design. The theme for the fair is “4-H Geared for Greatness.”
Upcoming events were discussed. Hunter Koehn did a project talk.
The meeting was then adjourned and the club repeated its motto, “To Make the Best Better.”
