• The Live Wires-Empire Best 4-H Club met Nov. 12 at the Galva Community Room.
The meeting was called to order by President Cash Toews. Following the flag salute and 4-H Pledge, roll call was answered by, “Which 4-H achievement are you most proud of?” Twelve members, five leaders and three guests were present.
Treasurer Sage Toews gave the treasurer’s report.
Reporter Isom Marston stated Jace Beltz sent the report of the last meeting to the newspaper and Isom would be submitting the current meeting.
Old Business: Nov. 19 will be 4-H Sunday; the club will meet at the New Hope church at 10:30 a.m.
New business: Dec 10 will be our caroling party starting in Canton at 5:30 p.m. and finishing in Galva. Smiths are looking into a leather gift for the homes visited.
Multi-County 4-H Club Day will by Feb. 17, 2018. Community leader Tina McMannis informed the club of the types of categories for the day.
Program: Faith McMannis gave a talk on “How to get your horse ready for show.”
Joker: Wesley Prieb asked, “Why did the police officer to go the baseball game? Because someone stole a base.”
