4-H (January 31, 2018)

◼ Caroling, gift baskets and Angel Tree gifts were the main ingredients for the Dec. 10 meeting of the Tampa Triple T’s 4-H Club at the Senior Center at Tampa.

Roll call was answered by, “Your favorite Christmas movie.”

After a short business meeting, a meal of chili, hot dogs, chips and a drink provided by the Rziha families, the Peterson family, and McDermotts. After the gift baskets were made, everyone went caroling and delivered the baskets to many of the elderly residents in town. Caroling followed, along with hot chocolate and cookies.

The next meeting will be Jan. 14 with talks provided by Jensen Riffel, Isabel Rziha and Keegan August. The hosts will be the August and Riffel families.

◼ “What was your favorite Christmas present?” was the question answered for roll call at the Jan. 14 meeting of the Tampa Triple T’s 4-H Club.

Club day will be Feb. 17 at Newton again this year. Online entry is ready and the deadline for entering is Feb. 1. Fair dates were also discussed. Isabel Rziha gave a project talk. Refreshments were served by leader Kim Oborny.

The next meeting will be Feb. 11. We will have a potluck meal with every family bringing a meat dish and A-G will also bring bread or a vegetable dish, H-O will bring a dessert and P-Z will bring a salad.

Talks will be given by Hanne McDermott, Karsen Kroupa, Kole Kroupa and Cecilia, Anthony and Daniel Rziha.
