The Hillsboro girls will open play in the Class 3A State Tourna?ment at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday against Southwestern Heights. The Trojans come into the tournament with a 14-9 record and are the eighth seed in the eight-team field. At 22-1, Southwestern Heights is the No. 1. seed.
If the Trojans get past the opening game, they willl play the winner of No. 4 Cherryvale (18-5) and No. 5 Jayhawk Linn (18-5) at 6:30 p.m. Friday.
On the other side of the bracket, No. 2 Rock Creek will square off against No. 7 Riley County (17-6) while No. 3 Wichita Collegiate (21-2) will face Beloit (18-5) in first-round games on Wednesday.
