Tabor volleyball falls to Ottawa, 3-1, in semifinals

In the teams? last two meetings, Tabor defeated the Braves in five sets, but the Bluejays could not pull off a third win and fell, 3-1.

Tabor opened with a first-set victory, 25-20.

But Ottawa rallied to win Set 2, 25-23, and kept the momentum rolling to win Set 3, 25-17.

Trailing 24-18 in Set 4, Tabor rallied to draw within two, 24-22, but it was too little, too late, and Ottawa won, 25-22.

With the win, Ottawa will face either No. 1 Kansas Wesleyan or No. 4 Friends in the championship match Saturday at 7 p.m. at Kansas Wesleyan.

Tabor concludes the season with a 25-7 overall record.
