Tabor is the No. 9 seed in the NAIA Baseball World Series

The Tabor College baseball team is the No. 9 seed in the 2014 Avista-NAIA Baseball World Series at Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston, Idaho May 23-30.

The bracket features 10 teams in a double-elimination format.

Tabor (49-11) will face No. 8 Southern Poly (Ga.) (45-17) Friday, May 23 at 9 a.m. PDT. The winner of that game will face No. 1 Oklahoma Baptist (53-7) Saturday, May 24 at 3 p.m. PDT.

Additional pairings in the bracket include No. 4 Falkner (Ala.) (49-14) against No. 5 Georgetown (Ky.) (46-9), No. 3 Oklahoma Wesleyan (55-6) against No. 6 Georgia Gwinnett (52-11) and No. 7 San Diego Christian (42-18) against No. 10 Cumberland (Tenn.) (44-19). No. 2 Lewis-Clark State will await the winner of the San Diego Christian and Cumberland matchup.

The tournament champion will be crowned either May 29 or May 30.

This is Tabor?s first appearance in the NAIA Baseball World Series in program history.
