Tabor defeats St. Mary to finish the season 4-6

Tabor ended the first season of the second Mike Gardner era on a winning note, dropping St. Mary 27-7 Saturday at Joel H. Wiens Stadium.

Finishing the season 4-5 in the KCAC and 4-6 overall, Tabor won three of the last four games.

St. Mary started the Bluejays? senior day recovering an onside kick on its opening kickoff. The Spires moved inside the five-yard line, but was forced to attempt a field goal. The attempt was blocked by Jason Daughtry.

After the goal line stand, Tabor scored 17 consecutive points before the Spires could get on the board with a touchdown in the second quarter.

Tabor pulled away in the second half with a field goal and a touchdown.
