Tabor College, Hillsboro Area Ministerial Association to host concert Nov. 16

The Tabor College Music Department and Hillsboro Area Ministerial Association will present a festive concert titled, ?With Praise & Thanksgiving? at 4 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 16 at Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church, 300 Prairie Pointe.

Both the Tabor College Concert Choir and Concerto Bella Voce, a women?s choir, will be performing songs for the season.

?We enjoy the opportunity to partner with the Hillsboro Area Ministerial Alliance in serving the community through this concert,?said Brad Vogel, professor of choral music at Tabor. ?Good art should always enrich, and this partnership has the potential to enrich both spirit and body.”

HAMA exists to coordinate ministries among Hillsboro-area churches. One significant ministry is providing assistance to people in need with funds donated to HAMA. The fund is used to help several hundred people each year?local residents with rent, food and utility bills, plus transients who need assistance getting down the road.

?We are pleased to participate with Tabor in the Community Thanksgiving Service,? Brian Allen, HAMA president. ?Our other activities include a School Prayer Walk and a Mayor?s Prayer Breakfast.?

An offering will be gathered for support of HAMA?s fund. Food donations are also welcome for Main Street Ministries Food Bank.
