Sen. Moran to hold town hall meeting June 1 at Florence

U.S. Senator Jerry Moran (R-Kan.) will visit Marion County Wednesday, June 1, during his statewide listening tour.

Sworn in in January as a U.S. Senator after 14 years representing the First District in the U.S. House, Moran is continuing his tradition of traveling back to Kansas frequently to visit communities throughout the state.

Moran will meet with residents in Florence at Doyle Creek Mercantile, 510 Main St., from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, June 1. Area residents are encouraged to attend.

According to his office, the senator will travel to each of Kansas? 105 counties to talk with area residents about their hopes and concerns. The conversations he has with Kansans during these town hall meetings determine the issues he focuses on while at work in Washington, D.C.
