Repairs on I-35 for next 2 weeks

Stripe repair beginning on I-35
The Kansas Department of Transportation will begin stripe repair on I-35 in McPherson County on Wednesday, May 1. The work consists of removing the old stripe and installing a new stripe.

Roadwork will begin just north of Moundridge at mile marker 49 and continue north for four miles, with up to eight miles closed May 2 for repair. Traffic will be reduced to one lane through the work zone with a reduced speed limit of 65 mph. The work is expected to take two weeks, weather permitting.

KDOT urges all motorists to be alert, obey the warning signs and “Give ‘Em a Brake!” when approaching and driving through a highway work zone.
