The pairings have been released for the Class 3A regional baseball tournament at Memorial Field in Hillsboro next week, May 18-19.
The home team Trojans, seeded No. 1 with a 15-5 record, have a first-round bye and will play their first game in the semifinals at 2 p.m. Tuesday. They will meet the winner of Monday?s game between No. 4 Southeast of Saline (6-11) and No. 5 Bennington (7-13).
On the other side of the bracket, No. 6 Marion (3-17) will play No. 3 Ellsworth (9-11) at 4:30 p.m. Monday. The tournament will open Monday with a game between No. 2 Beloit (11-9) and No. 7 Herington (2-17). The winners of those two games will play their semifinal contest at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The championship game is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday.
