OPEN HOUSE: Meierhoffs to celebrate 50th anniversary

In honor of their 50th wedding anniversary, the family of Thad and Janie (Hett) Meierhoff of Marion is planning an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 15, at Marion Christian Church, 140 N. Elm.

The Meierhoffs graduated from Marion High School and have lived in Marion County all their lives.

They are both retired and enjoy keeping up with their eight grandchildren.

Their children include Chris and wife Kathy Meierhoff, Denise and husband Todd Carter of El Dorado, and Christian and wife Stacey Petersen of Marion.

Grandchildren include Brandon and Erin Meierhoff of Marion, Callie, Camden and Carly Carter of El Dorado, and Austin, Landon and Mason Petersen of Marion.

The family is requesting cards, along with memories of the couple, which can be shared. No gifts, please.
