Marion loses two to Berean Academy

The Marion basketball teams opened their home tournament with a pair of losses to Berean Academy Monday.

The girls lost, 40-32. Berean took a 10-4 lead after the first quarter, but Marion rallied to within 17-15 at halftime. Berean outscored Marion, 15-10 in the third quarter and 8-7 in the fourth to earn the win.

Sam Richmond led the Warriors with eight points.

The boys lost, 41-28.

Coming–Marion will continue tournament play Thursday versus Wichita Homeschool.
